Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 September 2026

Welcome to Maker Market (the "Interface", "we", "us"). Maker Market is a web frontend that lets users interact with a set of non-custodial smart contracts deployed on the Base blockchain, including a Uniswap v4 hook used to launch and trade tokens. By accessing or using the Interface, you agree to these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Interface.

Please read these Terms carefully. They include important limitations on our liability and a description of activities and persons that are prohibited from using the Interface.

1. Nature of the Interface

The Interface is a purely optional graphical tool for interacting with public, permissionless smart contracts. We do not operate a broker, dealer, exchange, bank, custodian, or financial institution, and we do not facilitate trades on your behalf. All transactions are executed directly by you, from your own wallet, against public smart contracts on the Base network.

2. No Warranty — "As Is" / Experimental Software

THE INTERFACE AND THE UNDERLYING SMART CONTRACTS ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The smart contracts are experimental and may be unaudited or only partially audited. Audits do not guarantee security. Software may contain bugs, errors, or vulnerabilities that could result in the loss of your assets. We do not warrant that the Interface will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

3. Not Financial, Investment, Legal, or Tax Advice

Nothing on the Interface constitutes financial, investment, legal, accounting, or tax advice, or a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy or sell any token or asset. Any information provided is for general informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for evaluating the merits and risks of any transaction and should consult your own professional advisors before acting.

4. Your Wallet, Keys, and Taxes

You are solely responsible for the security and custody of your wallet, private keys, and seed phrases. We never receive, store, or have access to them. If you lose them, we cannot recover them or your assets. You are responsible for all transactions you sign and broadcast, for verifying transaction details before signing, and for determining, reporting, and paying any taxes that apply to your activity.

5. Non-Custodial — We Do Not Control Your Funds

The Interface is non-custodial. At no point do we take custody, possession, or control of your tokens or funds. Assets remain in your wallet or in permissionless smart contracts that we do not control. We cannot freeze, reverse, recover, or seize your assets.

6. Assumption of Risk; Risk of Total Loss

You understand and accept that using the Interface and interacting with tokens, liquidity, and smart contracts involves significant risk, including total loss of the assets you commit; smart-contract risk (bugs, exploits, hook logic failures, economic attacks); market risk (extreme volatility, low or no liquidity, slippage, inability to exit); scams and worthless tokens (rug pulls, honeypots, malicious logic); and network, gas, oracle, bridge, and third-party failures. You accept all such risks and agree that we are not responsible for any losses.

7. Token Launches — No Endorsement or Vetting

Anyone may launch a token through the Interface. The appearance, listing, or tradability of a token on the Interface does not constitute an endorsement, approval, guarantee, or recommendation by us, and does not imply that the token or its creators are legitimate, safe, or compliant with any law. We do not vet, verify, or take responsibility for tokens launched or traded through the Interface. Do your own research.

8. Eligibility and Prohibited Persons

To use the Interface, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to agree to these Terms; that you are not located in, a resident or citizen of, or accessing the Interface from any jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions (including those designated by the U.S. (OFAC), the EU, the UK, or the UN), and are not on any applicable sanctions or denied-persons list; and that your use does not violate any law applicable to you.

Tokenized-stock ("B20") pairs. Certain trading pairs reference tokenized equities (tokens tracking publicly traded stocks). These instruments are restricted by their issuer and/or by law from being offered to U.S. persons and persons in certain other jurisdictions. By accessing any tokenized-stock feature, you represent and warrant that you are not a U.S. person (as defined under U.S. securities laws / Regulation S), are not located in or a resident of the United States or any other restricted jurisdiction, and that your use is lawful where you are. We may restrict or block access based on your apparent location, but you remain solely responsible for your own compliance.

9. Compliance and Access Restrictions

We may, at our sole discretion and without notice, restrict, suspend, or block access to all or part of the Interface from any jurisdiction or to any person, including through geographic (IP-based) filtering. Such measures are provided on a good-faith, best-effort basis and do not relieve you of responsibility for your own compliance with applicable law.

10. Third-Party Services

The Interface may display data from third parties (price feeds, charts, RPC providers, wallets) and may link to third-party services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services or the accuracy of third-party data. Your use of any third-party service is at your own risk and subject to that party's terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE OR OUR CONTRIBUTORS, DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR DIGITAL ASSETS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE INTERFACE OR THE SMART CONTRACTS. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE INTERFACE WILL NOT EXCEED USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us and our contributors harmless from any claim or demand arising out of your use of the Interface, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes are effective when the updated Terms are posted, with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Interface after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent through the project's official channels.
